It is claimed the gang of men also injured Lascelles’ brother and left their pal “unconscious” as they left Chinawhite club in Newcastle.

Onlookers say all hell broke loose when a man elbowed his 19-year-old sibling in the throat.

The “unprovoked attack” saw Lascelles, 29, shove the man away before a fight erupted, just hours after he was an unused sub in Newcastle’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester City at The Etihad.

Shocking footage shows a “vodka bottle” hurled at the skipper’s head before missing and smashing in the street.

MailOnline have today reported the club is investigating after cops said they were probing the brawl.

Northumbria Police said: “Shortly after 4am on Sunday, August 20, we received a report of disorder involving a number of people on Westgate Road, in Newcastle city centre.

“Officers attended, however it is believed that those involved had already left the scene before they arrived.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information should use the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of our website or call 101, quoting NP-20230820-0227.”

It was previously reported a group of six to eight men attacked the centre-back before he was “punched from all angles”.

One of the footballer’s group had to be “resuscitated” after being left “unconscious for ten minutes”, a witness claimed.
