TikTok account @thefarpost posted a video revealing that Momoa had also been to the band’s concert the previous night where he was seen rocking it out in the mosh to the opening act, Pantera.
Momoa later shared a post of him geeking out over his concert experience, revealing that he attended for a very special reason.
The Game of Thrones actor said he was meant to attend with his friend Travis who ended up having to be rushed to hospital for surgery.

“We had it all set up. I’m so thankful for everyone who made it possible for @thetravissnyder to see @metallica and @panteraofficial with @tommorello,” Momoa wrote on the post.
“This was a dream for Travis and Unfortunately we had some emergency for him last night but he’s good and healing,” he added.
Being in hospital didn’t stop Momoa from bringing his friend to live out his dream of seeing Metallica in concert however.
The Slumberland star shared a video of him on FaceTime with his friend as he headed backstage to meet the Metallica band members.
The actor then shared some sweet snaps of him posing with the band and individual members James Hetfield, Robert Trujillo and Kirk Hammett.

He also showed that Travis got to virtually ‘meet’ the band, sharing screenshots of the members saying hello to his friend on FaceTime.
In his Instagram caption, Momoa went on to say he was “so thankful for @metallica for connecting with [Travis].”
“You guys are the soundtrack to our lives,” he said before thanking the band for donating to help with relief from the Maui fires.
The Lahaina wildfire in Maui broke out August 8 and has killed over 100 people.
The Hawaiian native has been sharing updates on Instagram and organisations for people to donate towards to help with the devastation in Maui.
A few days after the fires started, Momoa posted on social media urging tourists to not visit the island.
“Maui is not the place to have your vacation right now,” he wrote.
“Do not convince yourself that your presence is needed on an island that is suffering this deeply,” he added.
