Mum raves about ‘stunning’ beach in the UK with golden sand, free parking and huge soft play area

A MUM has been raving about the “stunning” beach that’s home to stretches of golden sand, a huge soft play area, and the second-longest pier in the country.

While finding a beach that isn’t overcrowded during summer holidays may seem impossible, there are some seaside spots that have escaped the crowds.

One of those places is Walton-on-the-Naze in Essex.

One TikTok user, who is known as kiddoadventures on the social media platform, is a mum who posts videos about days out in the UK.

In a recent video, she posted all about her recent trip to the Essex beach.

She said: “This is Walton-on-the-Naze, and from Liverpool Street Station in London, it’s around one hour and 35 minutes away on the train.

“We’ve been here a few times, and we really do like it. They’ve got plenty of beach huts for you to hire.

“The beach is nice and sandy. The water is freezing, but if it’s a sunny day, I guess you won’t really care.

“There are plenty of places to eat, we had lunch at the Last Fisherman – I recommend that one.

“Last time we came here, Walton Pier was closed, so it was nice to come back and to see it open.

“There’s quite a lot to do here, you’ve got the soft play, you’ve got the arcade games, there’s rock climbing, bowling, and lots of rides. I think it’s a fun day out.”

The video has already had 42,000 views on the social media platform, with users describing the seaside town as “beautiful” in the comments.

One person wrote: “This beach is amazing been going for years.”

Holidaymakers have been raving about the beach on TripAdvisor too.

One person wrote: “It was my first time here, and what a stunning beach.

Another added: “A great never-ending beach with lots of space, so you never feel on top of anyone.”

A third said: “This beach is lovely. It’s always clean, and has good sand for making sandcastles.”

There are plenty of facilities on the beach too including cafes, public toilets, and seasonal lifeguards.

The sandy beach is also home to the second-longest pier in Great Britain – Walton Pier.

Inside Walton Pier, there are VR attractions, funfair rides, arcade games, a ten-pin bowling alley, an escape room, climbing walls as well as a soft play area.

Other attractions include the Naze Tower – an 86ft tower that’s now home to an art gallery.

For overnight stays, there are a range of accommodation options including hotels, holiday cottages, and campsites.

Meanwhile, this beach with white sand is said to be the best in the UK.

And, this UK seaside town has been voted the cheapest in the country.
