A CAR lover who bought a Jaguar E-Type for just £1 is set to sell it on for over £1 million.
The gorgeous classic, which was one of the earliest production models of the beloved car, has undergone a major restoration and is now set to go under the hammer for an eye-watering sum.

The seller, from North Wales, snapped up the Series I Fixed Head Coupe for just a quid in 2000.
Known by its registration 1VHP, it is the first example of its model and is the only survivor of the four that were made.
The ultra-low price came as part of an agreement that he would restore both 1VHP and 9600HP, a pre-production prototype which is the oldest E-Type in the world.
The current owner said: “Goodness knows how many famous people have sat in 1VHP as it was initially used as a demonstrator model in London for six months.
“It’s beautiful, drives brilliantly and it’s the first.
“It can’t get any better than that. There is only one number one.”
He is selling both cars together, as well as an E-Type roadster that first belonged to Frank England, also known as Lofty, who managed Jaguar’s racing team in the 1950s.
The collection is expected to fetch millions at auction.
Gooding and Co. auctioneers said: “Enzo Ferrari has been quoted as saying the Jaguar E-type is ‘the most beautiful car in the world’.
“This pair started the obsession and the auction really does afford an opportunity for someone to purchase two of the UK’s automotive Crown Jewels.”
They will be sold in London on September 1 as part of an auction of super-rare classic cars.
The owner added: “It has been a privilege to own them and I hope they continue to give as much pleasure to the new owners as they have to me and my family over the last 20 years.”
It comes after an incredible collection of classics sold for a huge price after being found in the barn where they sat for 50 years.
Meanwhile, Bentley resurrected one of its most iconic racecars as a road-legal EV – but it will break the bank.
