Sima, 22, netted the go-ahead goal for the Scottish side against the Dutch outfit with a curling effort into the top corner from the edge of the box.

Brighton have become the poster boys for finding young gems and developing them before selling the stars for massive profits.

The latest example of this was Moises Caicedo who joined the club for £5million and was then sold for a British record fee of £115m to Chelsea this summer.

And because of Sima’s top strike fans were all left saying the same things on social media.

One fan Tweeted: “Will Abdallah Sima be the next ‘Brighton have done it again’ player?”

A second commented: “Ah, that’s why Brighton signed him”

A third wrote: “*checks where Abdallah Sima is on loan from*. Yep. That makes sense. Another star in the making?.”

A fourth said: “Remember the name.”

A fifth joked: “Brighton innit.”

While another added: “Gorgeous strike.”

The Senegalese ace joined Brighton in a £7million move back in 2021 from Czech Republic outfit SK Slavia Prague.

He is yet to play for the Seagulls having spent the first two years out on loan.

His first year he struggled to make an impact in the Championship at Stoke City due to injuries.

However last season Sima started to show his class as he netted five league goals for Angers in Ligue 1.

He then joined Rangers on loan this summer and has already notched two goals in six appearances.

His contract at Brighton expires in 2025 and will hope to continue impressing so he can force his way into the Seagulls’ plans.
