Drivers are just realising there is a hidden compartment in popular car brand – can you find it?

A MECHANIC has revealed that there is a hidden compartment in cars from a popular brand – but can you find it?

Nathan, who runs Nathan’s BMW Workshop in Altenburg, Missouri, took to TikTok to show viewers how to locate the unusual feature.

He claimed that it exists in all Toyota carsTikTok/@nathansbmwworkshop

He claimed that the “secret compartment” could be found in every Toyota and used a car of his own to demonstrate.

Nathan said: “Legend has it that there is a secret compartment in every Toyota.

“So if you have Toyota SUV you may want to check this, supposedly they all have this compartment.

“What’s lurking in this compartment? Nobody knows.”

Taking viewers inside his own motor, Nathan lifted the passenger-side back seat to unveil a “trap door” beneath.

Then, all he had to do was turn the small lock set into the carpet and open the small cubbyhole.

He added: “It has a very secret compartment that you can hide just a few things in.

“If you want to hide something from somebody and you don’t want them to know, that’s where you put it.”

To demonstrate how useful it could be, he had hidden a couple of tools and a stack of $100 bills in the space to keep them safe.

Nathan did mention that the compartment may be located somewhere else in other Toyota models due to differing layouts, but insisted that there should be one in every car.

Social media commenters were left stunned by the revelation.

One joked: “Oooh all that money.”

It comes after one driver informed parents of a hidden feature that can prevent accidents on the road with kids.

Meanwhile, an expert mechanic revealed a little-known car hack that could save you hundreds when filling up.
