Man Utd and Liverpool ‘both make contract offers to Ryan Gravenberch’ in bid to force transfer from Bayern Munich

MANCHESTER UNITED and Liverpool have both made contract offers to Ryan Gravenberch to help force through the Dutchman’s exit from Bayern Munich, according to reports.

The offers have been made ahead of the player holding showdown talks with his club, report The Mirror.

It’s claimed that Liverpool lead the race to sign the midfielder as United need to sell before they can bring anyone else in.

The 21-year-old joined the Bundesliga side from Ajax back in 2022 prior to Erik ten Hag joining Old Trafford.

Had Gravenberch not moved to the Allianz, Ten Hag would likely have tried to sign the youngster during the start of his career at Man Utd.

The Dutchman’s move to Germany has not gone to plan as he only made six appearances in his debut season.

That’s reportedly forced the Netherlands international to consider a move elsewhere – and will be discussed at the upcoming talks.

Gravenberch has been valued by Bayern at £22million.

Part of his desire to leave Bayern Munich is so that he can secure first team football and put himself in the frame for international selection ahead of Euro 2024.

Manchester United boss Ten Hag is desperate to bolster his midfield and is said to be keen to reunite with Gravenberch.

But he must fight off Premier League rival boss Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool themselves are also in need of reinforcements having seen the departures of midfielders Jordan Henderson and Fabinho this summer.

The Kop side are so far winning the battle for the Dutch star, it’s claimed.

That’s because they’re open to a permanent deal, while Man Utd would rather have Gravenberch on loan due to their limited budget.

Despite hardly playing him, Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel has been keen to keep the Dutchman.

But the ex-Chelsea boss is open to offers if Gravenberch is insistent on his wish to leave the club.
