Geri Halliwell reveals if Spice Girls will reunite at Glastonbury on 30th anniversary

Geri Halliwell has shot down rumours that the Spice Girls will be taking to the stage at Glastonbury next year as part of their 30th anniversary celebrations.

The singer, 51, affectionately known as Ginger Spice to fans, said despite the talk, it won’t be happening.

However, she did tease the iconic band could reunite in future or work on something together.

She told The Sunday Times: “At some point there will be something.”

It was recently revealed the girls had been in “more contact” than ever.

“For the past few years the Spice Girls have still been operating day-to-day as a four but, for the first time in a long time, Victoria is now chipping in and happy to celebrate a landmark 30 years of girl power,” a source told The Sun.

“Victoria will be 50 next year, and the [Spice Girls] turning 30 seems like two ­anniversaries too good to miss.”

The British band, known for hits including Wannabe, Spice Up Your Life and Too Much, formed back in 1994.

The group, consisting of Mel B, Mel C, Geri Halliwell, Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton, last performed together at the London Olympics back in 2012.

The band reunited to tour the U.K back in 2019, but Beckham was absent.

She said at the time she wanted to focus on her business ventures and family.

However, she often sings Spice Girls songs at karaoke and events and four weeks ago belted out Say You’ll Be There on a night out.

Victoria posted the clip to Instagram writing: “Warming up the vocals in Miami! More to come.”
