EDDIE HOWE looks set to miss out on a summer target with Benjamin Rollheiser heading for Zenit St Petersburg in a £12million deal.
The Argentine attacking midfielder, 23, was on Newcastle boss Howe’s radar — with fellow Premier League sides Burnley and Sheffield United also taking a look.

Newcastle have been busy in the transfer market this summer, bringing four new players to St James’ Park.
Howe has splashed out a cool £120million on Sandro Tonali, Harvey Barnes, Tino Livramento and Yankuba Minteh.
The Magpies are on the brink of making Chelsea‘s Lewis Hall their fifth summer signing.
And Howe insists the teenager will be the LAST summer arrival at St James’ Park.
He said of the 18-year-old: “He’s a player I like – very versatile with really good potential.
“Let’s see what happens today.
“If we do bring a player in, that will be our transfer business concluded, unless there are injuries.”

Newcastle kicked off their Premier League campaign with a 5-1 thumping of Aston Villa last weekend.
Howe heaped praise on £55million signing Tonali, after his stellar display saying: “You could see when he scored the emotion coming out.
“A big move. A great start.
“Then the rest of his performance followed that goal, really, where he was excellent.
“Now he will hopefully feel the love of the supporters.
“There will be an instant connection between him and them, and that can only help.”
