Cadbury fans are raving ‘stockings are saved’ by new product after Buttons discontinued

CADBURY aficionados are raving that Christmas stockings have “been saved” by a new product after a fan favourite was discontinued.

The sweet treat giant is launching a chocolate Buttons selection box for the festive season.

The Buttons selection box will come with four sharing bags and each bag will be a different flavour.

These are milk chocolate, salted caramel, caramilk and orange.

And Cadbury fans are elated with the news.

Taking to Facebook, one happy shopper said: “Cadbury’s are bringing back their chocolate Buttons! Are stockings are saved!”

While another commented: “I need this selection box.”

Someone else tagged their friend and wrote: “A Buttons selection box!”

The Sun has asked Cadbury how much the boxes will cost and when they’ll land in UK supermarkets – we’ll update the piece as soon as we know more.

On top of that Cadbury will also be bringing back some old favourites including Cadbury Snowballs, Cadbury Orange Winter crisp Bar and the Cadbury Chunk collection.

It comes after fans were fuming after Cadbury scrapped individual sales of Buttons Treatsize packs.

The 14.4g party-bag favourites will only be available in multipacks from now on.

The 40g and 119g bags will remain for solo purchase in shops.

One angry dad has since stocked up on three-months’ worth of the mini packs for his autistic son.

He told The Sun: “That’s the only chocolate he will eat, so I buy it in bulk.

“I started to notice that I was struggling to find it via online retailers.”

Earlier this week, fans were also elated to see that the confectionary giant has relaunched its Christmas chocolate coins, with shoppers chomping at the bit to give them a try.

Cadbury discontinued the chocolate coins in 2014, arguing that the treats weren’t profitable because supermarkets sell their own cheaper versions.

Fans proclaimed that the decision had “ruined Christmas” and some even made petitions demanding the coins made a comeback.

After almost a decade, Cadbury stunned everyone by announcing that the golden coins would return to shelves this Christmas.

Cadbury isn’t the only brand to delight fans by bringing back its retro favourites.

Muller is bringing back its Mississippi Mud Pie flavour in September.

While Pizza Hut recently announced the return of two discontinued menu items after nearly a decade.

And McDonald’s recently announced the return of an iconic freebie and fans were going wild.

And shoppers are only just realising an iconic 90s discontinued food is back in supermarkets.

Plus, it’s not to early to get your hands on Christmas chocolate.

Tesco shoppers have been rushing to buy Celebrations, Quality Street and Heroes tubs already in stores.
