MANCHESTER UNITED scraped by a resilient Wolves side to win their first Premier League game of the season.
The Red Devils looked less than inspired at Old Trafford as they had to wait for Raphael Varane to make the breakthrough deep into the second half.

United struggled to create much of a threat in the first half with Wolves looking the more dangerous side on the break.
Matheus Cunha and Pablo Sarabia both saw efforts flash just wide of debutant Andre Onana’s posts.
Marcus Rashford did have a claim for a penalty for a handball on Nelson Semedo turned down by referee Simon Hooper.
Erik ten Hag made one change at half time as he replaced the booked Lisandro Martinez with Victor Lindelof.
Wolves should have taken the lead in the 48th minute as Cunha dragged his effort wide from close range.
After a pretty poor first 75 minutes from United they finally managed to put some quality on to the pitch.
Raphael Varane managed to head home from Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s dinked cross to the back post to give the hosts the lead.
Onana got away with one in the dying stages as he appeared to clatter Sasa Kalajdzic however after a VAR check nothing more was done, expect for a yellow card being shown to a despairing Gary O’Neil.
Despite Wolves efforts to grab a leveller the visitors continued to be wasteful and United held out for their first three points of the season
