Travelling with young children can be a stressful experience, especially when they’re after their favourite snacks mid-flight.

A mum has revealed an amazing hack to make travelling with kids a breeze on the plane

The mum used a plastic storage box to organise the snacks

Mum-of-two Evangeline, who is known as evangelineolualu on the social media platform, filmed herself packing her toddler’s favourite snacks into a plastic storage box.

In the footage, the mum used stickers to decorate the plastic box before she started adding sweets into the compartments.

She said: “Pack my toddler’s snack box for their first flight, which is four and a half hours long.

“We fly tomorrow and it is obviously their first flight, so I want them to be super comfortable and distracted while they’re on it.

“I tried to pack a range of snacks, so there’s dried fruits, chocolate, sweets, all their favourite things really.”

Other snacks included dried apricots, strawberry sweets, jelly tots, dried strawberries and raisins, smarties, animal biscuits, chocolate raisins, and mini cheddars,

She added: “This is such a good idea if you’re travelling with young children because it gives them a range of different foods to eat rather than having just one or two snacks for them.”

Once all of the compartments had been filled, she packed the box into her daughter’s hand luggage bag.

The video has had more than 560,000 views on TikTok with users rushing into the comments to share their opinions.

One person wrote: “This is such a good idea.”

While another added: “I’m going to make this for myself.”

But Evangeline isn’t the first person who’s used a transparent container to create a fun snack box for their kids.

Mum-of-two Antonia (@kidssensoryplay) recently filled a tablet box with her children’s favourite sweets.

She said: “This travel hack ended up being a game changer.

“I thought it was too risky for my toddlers that the snacks would end up on the floor if they tipped the container over.

“But this smaller pill organizer has seven compartments that you can open one by one which limits the risk of everything being dumped out.

“My one-year-old also loved opening and closing the compartments more than actually eating the snacks!”

Meanwhile, this passenger was filmed eating a bizarre snack during a recent flight.

And this man claimed that he found a cockroach in his meal, which the airline disputed.
