But with Kane, 30, leaving the club, it leaves Spurs short upfront and Postecoglou has revealed that there are plans in place.

The Australian manager said: “It looks like Kane to Bayern is going to happen. It gives us some clarity, so we move forward without Harry.

“We’ve been planning for this for a while. A lot of our business up until now was with that in mind.

“It doesn’t change my plans dramatically.”

Kane was expected to fly to Germany today for a medical – however, Tottenham reportedly blocked him from boarding the plane.

It was claimed that Kane was on his way to Stansted airport but had to turn around and hold up at a family home.

Whatever the issue was appears to have been ironed out with Tottenham now giving Kane the green light to fly.

There was another potential hiccup after fans spotted a private jet flight, believed to be transporting Kane, was cancelled.

That same plane has since been spotted waiting on the tarmac at Stansted airport.

The deal agreed will see Spurs receive an initial fee of £86m plus easily-attainable add-ons to round it up to £104m.

Kane is understood to have penned a four-year deal worth £415,000 a week – more than double his Tottenham earnings.

SunSport understand Bayern believe the transfer will be officially confirmed within 24 hours.

Kane has just one year left on his current Spurs contract and had rejected a £400,000-a-week extension earlier this summer.

Should he leave, Kane will do so as Spurs’ record goalscorer after 19 years at the club, joining aged 11.

He scored 280 goals in 435 games for Spurs – 213 came in the Premier League.

That means he leaves England 47 goals shy of Alan Shearer‘s Premier League goalscoring record of 260.
