It’s been confirmed things are officially over between Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton, after weeks of speculation about them having split.
The Mr. Robot actor, 42, and his 29-year-old girlfriend had been dating for five years, but hadn’t been seen together since the BAFTA awards at the beginning of this year.
A source revealed to The Sun that the couple split “earlier this year without much fanfare. They were together for a long time but had grown apart”.

Last month, Malek was spotted holding hands with a blonde woman while attending a Bruce Springsteen concert in London’s Hyde Park, where he also hung out with Emma Corrin.
The source also told the publication: “They are both moving on with their lives and are busy with work. Rami has surrounded himself with his mates and has spent the summer enjoying himself.”
Meanwhile, Boynton was spotted at Wimbledon without Malek last month – in previous years, the pair had always gone together.

Malek recently starred in the blockbuster film Oppenheimer, while Boynton had a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo in Barbie, which was released in cinemas on the same day.
The couple first met in 2017, while filming Bohemian Rhapsody. Malek, of course, played Freddie Mercury, while Boynton played his love interest and almost-wife.
When Malek won an Oscar for the role in 2019, he called out his girlfriend: “Lucy Boynton, you are the heart of this film, you are beyond immensely talented, you have captured my heart.”

Throughout their relationship, the pair were notoriously private.
Boynton told The Cut in 2019: “I had an interview recently where I was asked such crude and candid questions about my relationship, It kind of forced me to pull way back [from the public eye].'”
