But Chelsea are reportedly due half of any sale figure after selling him to Southampton in August 2021.

The 20-year-old is expected to quickly complete a huge move to the Magpies, who want competition for main right-back Kieran Trippier.

England Under-21 star Livramento only played twice last term following an ACL injury.

But the Londoner has enjoyed a fully-fit pre-season.

And ahead of last night’s 2-1 Championship win at Sheffield Wednesday, Martin told Sky Sports: “Tino was never going to be in the squad.

“He trained yesterday morning (Thursday) with the group that aren’t involved and aren’t here tonight, a few of the injuries, because of what’s been going on and how close the deal was.

“So it hasn’t changed plans too much because from yesterday morning really we kind of envisaged it would be close.

He trained really well yesterday and then yesterday afternoon obviously the clubs agreed a deal.

“Obviously Tino will have a medical there and all that stuff and I wish him nothing but the best.”

Martin added: “I’ve only worked with him for five weeks, I wish we had a bit longer.

“But he’s a brilliant young man and an outstanding, really, really top talent so everyone here wishes him all the best and hopefully it all goes smoothly.”
