A SEASIDE spot in Yorkshire has been described as the “best beach experience in Great Britain” by holidaymakers.
Finding a beach with miles of untouched sand during the school holidays might sound impossible, but plenty of places actually do exist.
One of those is Hunmanby Gap, which is a long sandy beach set in Filey in North Yorkshire.

The dog-friendly and peaceful shoreline was described as the “best beach experience in Great Britain” by one holidaymaker on TripAdvisor.
Another person added: “Beautiful stretch of beach, large car park in the field which is super cheap, and a little cafe in the way down.”
A third added: “Hunmanby Bay beach was beautiful. It was about one mile away from where we were staying in our Motorhome, and there was a lovely little Cafe above overlooking the beach with great views.”
Holidaymakers have also raved about the little-known beach on TikTok too.
TikTok user adve_nturesinyorkshire posted a recent video all about their trip to the sandy beach.
A caption over the video read: “The most perfectly underrated, hidden, little gem of a beach.”
The footage showed stretches of untouched sand.
Other users have posted videos about the beach, which they described as having the beach all to themselves.
The beach is situated near the Yorkshire town of Filey and is an ideal spot for swimming and sunbathing.
Yorkshire Live said: “There are a number of attractions, including a cafe and beach huts, and up on the hill are chalets and bungalows if you really want to experience the breathtaking views.”
The beach cafe is a popular attraction on social media thanks to its spot overlooking the sea views.
There holidaymakers are served portions of chips wrapped in newspaper and placed in small buckets.

Other nearby attractions include several World War II pillboxes that are perched on the cliffs above the beach.
The beach also has a car park, which is open between April and October.
Although it’s fairly quiet, there are plenty of other nearby attractions too including the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery as well as several heritage trails and walking routes.
Hotels nearby offer rooms from around £37 per person per night, and there are also some holiday parks close by too.
Meanwhile, the UK is home to some amazing seaside resorts – with one even compared to the Med.
