It feels like every Eras Tour show is filled with amazing moments, but Taylor Swift went above and beyond for her first night performing in Los Angeles.
Every show, the singer selects one fan (usually a kid), who gets to approach the stage and receive a signed hat, plus a hug from Swift, while she sings 22.
Swifties were quick to notice that the girl receiving the hat at this weekend’s show was none other than late NBA star Kobe Bryant‘s daughter, Bianka.

It’s particularly sweet because in 2015, Kobe joined Taylor Swift on stage to present her with her very own championship banner at the Staples Center.
It came after she set a record by having 16 sold-out shows at the venue, which Kobe’s team, the Lakers, calls home.

Kobe and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash in early 2020.
Just two years previously, Gianna and her older sister Natalia hung out with Swift backstage after her Reputation concert in LA.
Kobe was always a fan of Swift and her music. During a 2019 interview on The Jordan Harbinger Show, Kobe shared his thoughts on the singer’s achievements. “I don’t care if you like her music or you don’t like her music.”
He added that Swift was “a sweetheart to my girls before she even blew up and became Taylor Swift, so that’s why I like her.”
“If she needs anything from me, I’m always there,” he said.
