BAYERN MUNICH have launched a club record £82million bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

The reported offer comes after the German giants held talks with Spurs chief Daniel Levy this week.

According to BILD, Bayern have now submitted a bid worth a total of £82million including add-ons.

The offer is reportedly made up of an initial £73million, with a further £9million in potential additional payments.

Bayern’s previous bids for Kane were knocked back by Spurs but the Bundesliga champions have remained interested in the forward.

However, their latest bid remains below Spurs’ £100million valuation, despite being a record fee for Bayern.

Their current transfer record is the £70million they paid Atletico Madrid for Lucas Hernandez in 2019.

Kane is understood to have held talks with manager Thomas Tuchel this summer with regards to a possible move.

His wife Katie was also reportedly in Munich looking for a house last month as the move edges closer.

Manchester United had previously been linked with a move for the 30-year-old, who would be available for free in a year’s time.

United are instead expected to sign Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund to solve their attacking woes, with the Danish striker flying in for a medical.

Bayern are the current favourites for Kane’s signature, though, with club representatives in England for talks with Spurs on Monday.

Kane is keen for his future to be resolved soon, with the new Premier League season starting in less than two weeks.

He has reportedly told the club he wants a resolution before their opening game against Brentford on August 13.

The transfer window is not set to close until September 1, though, whilst Bayern are able to agree a pre-contract deal from January 1.

Spurs are believed to have made plans for Kane’s departure by eyeing several potential replacements.

Amongst them is Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson, who would also provide a threat on the flank as well as down the middle.
