Fabinho holds TIGER on a chain as Al-Ittihad transfer is confirmed with fans asking ‘have we sold him to the circus?’

AL-ITTIHAD have revealed the signing of Fabinho in the most bonkers announced video ever with the star holding a chained tiger.

The Saudi outfit have signed the Liverpool ace in a deal worth up to £40million with him set to earn a staggering £425,000 per week until 2026.

Fabinho, 29, became the latest star to leave Europe and make the move to the Middle East.

His move to Al-Ittihad will see him link up with the likes of Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, former Celtic ace Jota and ex-West Brom defender Ahmed Hegazi.

But his announcement video is surely the strangest as he was filmed holding a tiger – a reference to the club’s nickname – by a chain.

The video also started by showing and appearing to mock news cuttings from reports that suggested that his move may have fallen through due to his pets.

The Brazilian has two French bulldogs but they were banned in the country, however, it appears that an unknown solution has been found.

At the end of the video, it cuts to Fabinho, who says: “I am tiger.”

And fans have been left perplexed by the announcement on social media.

One Tweeted: “What’s with the tiger? Have we sold Fabinho to the circus?”

A second commented: “Fabinho casually standing next to a tiger in his announcement video for Al Ittithad.”

A third wrote: “Fabinho has signed for Al-Ittihad, but the real story here… what in the tiger is going on?”

A fourth said: “If that’s a real tiger the Saudis are getting me to hold and I am Fabinho I am telling them they need to add a couple more zeros to those weekly wages.”

While a fifth joked: “Fabinho taking a tiger for a stroll wasn’t something I expected to see today but here we are.”

Fabinho has also joined Jordan Henderson in swapping Liverpool for Saudi – with the Reds undergoing an unexpected midfield overhaul after receiving lucrative offers from the Saudi League.

Henderson has meanwhile linked up with Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq.
