Inside Amir Khan’s rollercoaster relationship with wife Faryal Makhdoom amid sexting scandal and separation

AMIR Khan’s marriage is on the rocks after wife Faryal Makhdoom moved out of the family home following his latest ‘cheating’ scandal.

The former world champion boxer, 36, apologised and offered to get counselling after we revealed he text a model begging for saucy pictures.

In an exclusive interview, he told us: “I am willing to go to therapy to stop me sending texts to women who aren’t my wife.

“I think nowadays with mental health issues, any help goes a long way. It’s definitely something I would do. Things like that do help, so maybe it’s something to think about.”

But it looks like enough is finally enough for Faryal, 31, who has stuck by her man’s side through multiple public humiliations.

She confronted him at their home in Dubai earlier this month when she saw our story about Amir begging bridal model Sumaira, 25, for racy pictures and trying to meet up with her.

He approached Sumaira online in May in the run-up to his and Faryal’s 10th wedding anniversary, initially complimenting her on her tattoos before things took a raunchier turn.

Amir and Faryal were introduced through a mutual friend, and tied the knot in a glamorous 1000-guest ceremony at New York’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel in 2013.

Their daughter, Lamisah, was born the following year.

But their romance was rocked after a long-rumoured sex tape of Amir was was leaked online.

The X-rated clip shows him in just a T-shirt and boxer shorts performing a sex act on himself while in conversation with a female model on the video call service Skype.

It is believed to have been made just weeks after the lavish wedding.

Faryal was said to be “absolutely disgusted” by the video — which was published on a major US porn website.

The pair appeared side-by-side to put on a united front during an appearance on ITV’s This Morning.

Amir said on the show: “I love my wife, and I love my family. The marriage is brilliant, it’s going really well. Everything is fine between with us.”

While Faryal added: “It’s just the past that’s coming back to try and bring us down.

“But our focus is now the next fight.”

In 2015, reality show star Lateysha Grace claimed she was offered £2,000 by Amir for a foursome in Miami.

The Sun also revealed how he spent the night with former escort Christie Lee Hoyle while his wife was pregnant in 2013.

Around the same time he allegedly bombarded Clair Nuttall with lewd texts urging her to perform sex acts on him and begging for a threesome.

Faryal confronted Clair and French lingerie model Eglantine-Flore Aguilar over their alleged trysts.

Amir has also been linked with a string of other women, including model Natalie Fox and Playboy star Carla Howe.

In September last year, Amir spoke of his regret at the way he publicly, and falsely, accused heavyweight Anthony Joshua of having an affair with Faryal.

Speaking about the incident on Gary Neville’s and Sky Bet’s The Overlap, he confessed: “I had the problem with Anthony Joshua, which I feel really bad for because at the end of the day I put him in the firing line for no reason.

“I mean he was a friend of mine and since then we’ve never spoken. So I lost a good friend through that as well.”

Cheating allegations aside, Amir and Faryal’s marriage has also been blighted by a bitter family feud.

The row started when Faryal posted a “naked” selfie on her Instagram – and Amir’s Muslim parents were allegedly disappointed to see their daughter-in-law wearing very little clothing.

Faryal then took to Snapchat to blast her in-laws, claiming that she was being abused by them.

She accused her mother-in-law, Falak Khan, of trying to break the couple up when she was pregnant with their child: “When you force your son to divorce his wife, When she’s nine months pregnant!!!

“And your son doesn’t … and he sticks besides his wife. He’s called a p***y!???

“Ok, I’m guessing Islam teaches us to get married and divorce our wives and treat them bad???”

That was followed by Amir’s father Sajjad Khan branding her “very evil” and hinting divorce could be on the cards for the couple.

“She is trying to come between us, she is trying to break up the very close relationship we have with Amir. She is a very evil woman,” he said, according to the Daily Star.

“I have given and taken with her. We all have. All she wants is the limelight.”

In response, Faryal’s own parents, Shaukat and Zia Makhdoom, sent an impassioned plea to their son-in-law not to start divorce proceedings.

“We have hearts, hearts that are broken when we hear such things. We are living in fear that at any moment our daughter will get divorced,” said Faryal’s mother.

“Please accept the girl as your own daughter. And please don’t say such a word to any girl, to anyone’s daughter.

“We are parents too. We are living in fear that at any moment our daughter will get divorced. May they always live happily.”

The vicious feud had caused Amir to lose contact with his family.
