FLIGHT attendants have revealed which seat is both the comfiest and the cleanest to book on a plane.
Picking a good seat can be difficult, especially in economy, but there’s one that offers both extra legroom, as well as cleanliness.

One cabin crew member revealed which seat that is, and why they always try and sit there when they fly, labelling it the best on the aircraft.
In a thread on Reddit, they shared a photo of their legs stretching out from their seat.
While the flight attendant was sat in economy class, they were in a rare spot that had no one else sitting directly in front.
In the post, they wrote: “This seat is the best on the aircraft.”
Other flight attendants agreed, with another pointing out that it was likely to be the cleanest as well.
They added: “It’s also probably one of the cleanest because kids can’t sit there.”
The reason why children can’t sit in the seat isn’t clear at first, but Sun Online Travel’s resident flight attendant explained exactly why.
They said: “There’s an emergency hatch of some kind, hence the lack of a seat.
“Having a child there could impede an emergency escape.
“Kids, and other types of passengers, aren’t allowed to sit next to emergency exits because we need to get those doors open as soon as possible if there’s a problem.”
Such rules have been published by the Civil Aviation Authority, who say that “If the emergency exit is needed, it is important the exit can be opened and the aircraft evacuated as quickly as possible.”
The following passengers aren’t permitted to sit in emergency exists as a result: “Passengers with physical or mental impairment or disability to the extent that they would have difficulty in moving quickly if asked to do so.

“Passengers who have significant sight or hearing impairment to the extent that it might be difficult for them to respond to instructions quickly.
“Passengers who, because of age or sickness, have difficulty in moving quickly.
“Passengers who, because of physical size, have difficulty in moving quickly.
“Children, whether accompanied or not, and infants.
“Passengers travelling with animals, for example assistance dogs.”
However, there are seats on board the plane that are better for kids to sit in than adults.
They include the bulkhead seats, which are the ones at the front of the row.
Rebecca Love, who has worked for Virgin Atlantic for eight years, explained told the Mirror: “If they’re little enough, try and get a bulkhead seat.
“You can request a bassinet (one of the cribs that attaches on to the front wall of the cabin).”
Meanwhile, a flight attendant has explained that having crew tell a child off can have a much better effect on a screaming baby than their parents.
And one man revealed his horror after a child screamed for an entire “29-hour flight”.
