LIDL has launched a new ice cream flavour that will rival a McDonald’s favourite – and it’s cheaper too.
The bargain supermarket is releasing its own version of Biscoff-flavoured ice cream.

The ice cream is available in Lidl stores now
The Gelatelli Premium Speculoos ice cream consists of an ice-cream centre, covered in a layer of caramel sauce and a chocolate coating with Speculoos (Biscoff) pieces.
Each box comes with three 71g ice creams and costs £2.49 – calculating at 83p per lollie.
What’s more is that Lidl’s version is cheaper than McDonald’s Biscoff McFlurry.
Customers can choose from two sizes at the fast food giant – regular, £1.99 and mini, £1.49.
The ice cream is available to try now across Lidl supermarkets nationwide.
The sweet treat is part of Lidl’s core range which means it’ll be an ongoing item.
Bear in mind that stock goes up and down so you might want to go sooner rather than later if you’re a Biscoff fan.
The release comes just one week before McDonald’s will be axing its Biscoff McFlurry from menus.
The release of the flavour was much anticipated and so fans will have been disappointed to see that it is no longer available.
Across social media diners shared their excitement for the dessert over the past six weeks, and it appeared to go down a treat.
But customers only have until August 1 to get their hands on the ice cream before it disappears for good.
The fast food giant is also axing Spicy Sriracha Wrap, both crispy and grilled and the Double Big Mac burger both with bacon and without.
It’s not all bad news though because three other items that hit menus at the end of June will be sticking around for a little while longer.
The Caesar and Bacon wrap, Mozzarella Bites and the Double Chocolate pie will be available until September 5.
If you do miss out though, have a try of Lidl’s latest dupe – it might live up to the real thing.
Supermarkets have been known to create their own versions of popular fast food items.
Bargain supermarket Aldi launched its own versions of McDonald’s favourites including nuggets and a Big Mac.
The latest dupe to hit the shelves is its own version of McDonald’s iconic fries.
Each of the Aldi frozen fakeaway choices comes with a pretty low price tag, with the fries alone 40% cheaper than the real thing.
Lidl also had its own copycat version of the Mcnuggets.
There were 12 chicken bites per 300g box and they even come with two dips, similar to the ones served at McDonald’s, curry and sweet and sour.
