Rashford spoke to Gary Neville on his latest episode of The Overlap.

United legend Neville asked the 25-year-old a series of quickfire questions, including the toughest opponent he has faced.

Rashford answered with Walker, revealing he actively tries to avoid him on the pitch.

The United star said: “I would probably say Kyle Walker. His physical capabilities are just unbelievable so it’s always a tough day.

“You have to try and catch him off-guard or in the wrong position, but even then he can recover. I just try and drift into places where he can’t drift and he has to pass me on.”

But Rashford, who recently signed a new five-year contract worth £325,000-a-week, gave Erik ten Hag a headache with his response to another question.

Neville asked the England star his favourite position, to which Rashford replied: “Left-wing, although I feel like [at] centre forward you’ve got less distance to cover to score simple goals, I do prefer left.

“Left is easier to stay in the game, and from when I was young I’ve always wanted to be involved in the game.

“That’s why I struggle playing centre forward sometimes because of my patience. You might not touch the ball for 20 minutes, and then your first touch might be an opportunity to score. You have to be mentally switched on.”

That means Ten Hag will need to sign a striker this summer, with Anthony Martial the only natural frontman in the Red Devils squad.

United have targeted Atalanta hitman Rasmus Hojlund but are yet to match his £86million price tag.

Asked which of United’s rivals he dislikes most, Rashford didn’t hesitate.

He said: “Liverpool. I don’t like any of them but I dislike Liverpool more.”
