Shock Premier League club considering transfer swoop for Kylian Mbappe but face fight with Saudis offering £173m

CHELSEA are considering a move for Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe, according to reports.

The forward has been heavily linked with a transfer after revealing he will not renew his PSG contract beyond next summer.

That means the French giants could be willing to part company with Mbappe – but only if they receive a huge offer.

Chelsea are interested in the Frenchman and are weighing up a move, reports RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins.

He adds that at least one other Premier League club is eyeing a deal to sign Mbappe but as yet no offers have been submitted.

Hawkins also claims Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal have launched an ambitious swoop to sign the 2018 World Cup winner.

Al-Hilal are reportedly willing to offer Mbappe £345million a year, and will tempt PSG with an offer in the region of £170m.

Mabppe was left out of PSG’s pre-season tour of Japan and the club are keen to sort his future before the season starts, with PSG unwilling to lose him on a free next year.

PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has set an internal deadline on the forward’s future, with the club keen to have things decided before the season starts.

But it appears that the Saudi league are now willing to test both Mbappe and PSG’s resolve with a transfer offer.

Liverpool have also entered the race to sign the 24-year-old and are willing to splash out an eye-watering £215million.

Despite the Reds’ interest, Real Madrid remain the bookies’ favourites to sign Mbappe.
