MMA star scores fastest knockout ever but fans slam ‘bum’ Luis Hernandez for underhand tactic before brutal kick to head

AN MMA star incredibly secured the fastest knockout ever – but fans quickly slammed the fighter for his underhand tactics.

Luis Hernandez’s left foot smashed into Brian Topp’s head after just TWO SECONDS of their bout at Titan FC 83 in Florida last night.

His opponent was instantly knocked unconscious, but Hernandez managed to get another blow in as his rival lay stricken on the floor.

The referee instantly waved the fight off, but those MMA supporters watching were not impressed.

The 26-year-old, who is based in Miami, had set up his quickfire finish by distracting Topp by holding his right hand in an apparent sign he wanted to touch gloves in greeting that is customary among fighters.

But he then quickly withdrew his hand and landed the brutal shot.

That KO officially beat the UFC record set in 2019 by Jorge Masvidal against Ben Askren in five seconds, some fans were not having it at all.

“Are we going to ignore that he baited a glove touch,” asked one fan.

Another tweeted: “Guy’s a bum for fake glove touch.”

While another blasted: “The fake glove touch was a bit underhand.”

Despite many claiming it was unsporting, Hernandez did not break any rules.

And not everybody had a problem with it, with some even claiming that Topp should have done his homework better.

“All the guys in the comments talking about fake glove touch have never seen Luis Hernandez fight before,” said one.

“The dude starts every single fight with this same kick, be prepared.”

The victory takes Hernandez’s pro record to 3-0 while Topp’s now stands at one win and five losses.
