Who is England star Georgia Stanway?
Georgia Stanway was born on January 3, 1999, and is from Barrow-in-Furness, England.
She has three brothers and grew up playing football with them from a very young age.
Georgia started playing football aged three and was training with her brothers in an under-7 team.
She continued playing for boys’ teams until she turned 13.
As a schoolgirl, she represented Cumbria Schoolgirls in the English School’s Football Association tournaments at the regional level.
She competed at regional levels for two years in a row from 2013 until 2014.
Despite the team losing all their games, Georgia was selected for the England Schoolgirls under-15 international squad.
The newly-formed squad won the Bob Docherty Cup in 2014 and Georgia was the only player to score in all their matches.
At the age of 16 Georgia left Cumbria and moved to Manchester to begin her professional football career.

She played for Blackburn in the FA Women’s Premier League in 2015.
In the summer of 2015, Georgia was transferred to Manchester City, making her debut as a substitute.
Her first season with the team saw Georgia win the club’s Rising Star award.
She then won the Nissan Goal of the Season award and signed a new contract with Manchester City in 2017.
On May 17, 2022, Georgia’s transfer to Bayern Munich was announced. She signed a three-year deal with the team.
