LEGENDARY caddie Billy Foster reckons he got his role with Tiger Woods after being his “s***house saviour” in the toilets.
Foster is a recognisable face around golf’s most famous greens, having worked with the likes of Lee Westwood and Thomas Bjorn.

But in 2005, HE caddied for American icon Woods and may just have earned the role three years earlier.
As it was in 2002 that Foster went to the loo and noticed in the first toilet there was no bog roll.
But Woods failed to realise and it was then that Foster saved the day.
He told the Daily Mail: “I am walking out and I hear this little sigh. Oh, he knows now that he’s in trouble. And it’s six minutes until he’s on the tee.
“Oh Tiger. But I can’t do it to him, so I roll up some paper, get down on my knees, and present it to him under the door.
“I was the hand of god to him in that moment. ‘You’ll probably need this’. He grabs at it and then as I’m halfway through the door, I just say, ‘Europe, one up’, and walk out.
“He came out with the biggest smile. ‘Billy Foster, I owe you’. I caddied for him at the Presidents Cup in 2005 — I swear that’s why I got the job.
“Not because I’m a good caddie but because I was the s***house saviour.”

Foster will be back on The Open green this week with Matt Fitzpatrick.
It was Fitzpatrick who last year ended the caddie’s long wait for a first major, following his victory at the US Open.
Having spent over 40 years in the game, Foster has no plans to retire any time soon.
Although he reveals his biggest regret was turning down the chance to caddie Rory McIlroy in 2008 to instead partner with Sergio Garcia.
He admitted: “I look back on that and call myself a bit of a t***.”
