Woman reveals how she fits 4 days’ worth of holiday clothes into a small carry on bag

A WOMAN has revealed how she fits four days’ worth of clothes into a small carry-on bag to avoid extra luggage costs when flying with budget airlines.

In a video on TikTok, one Ryanair passenger fitted her holiday items into a personal bag that most people would take to the gym.

In the footage Christina packed enough clothes for four days and three nights

In the 90-second clip, Christina, who is known as christinatblaney on the social media platform, filmed herself packing for an upcoming holiday.

A caption over the video read: “Did you know its £100 to take a 20kg bag on a Ryanair flight? That’s more than the flight itself!

“I am not about that life, so here is how I pack a long weekend’s worth of luggage into 1 cabin bag that fits under your seat and is free to take on board.”

In the video, she said: “I’m going to show you how I pack for a four-day trip in one cabin bag.

“If you’ve got a holiday coming up and you’re thinking of buying a hold bag, don’t bother because I am not about paying to take luggage on holiday.”

In the footage, Christina packed three evening outfits, three day-time outfits, one beach cover-up, one bikini, one swimming costume, and two pairs of sandals.

She also packed two bras, seven pairs of pants, an adapter, a phone charger, a make-up and toiletries bag, one bag of liquids, hair straighteners, and one handbag.

Christina then filmed herself packing all of the items into the bag and dropped some other packing tips as she went.

She added: “[My] top tip is to roll your items rather than fold them, and your straighteners and liquids are going to have to come out at security, so always pack them on the top.”

At the end of the video, she zipped up the bag and demonstrated how all her items managed to fit into the tiny gym bag.

The video has had more than 6,000 views, with some users left feeling impressed at her packing abilities.

One person wrote: “No, way, the whole time I was like nah it’s not going to fit.”

I recently put a similar bag to the test for Sun Online Travel, on a Ryanair flight from London Stansted to Vienna.

During the 5-day trip, I managed to fit 1 x travel towel, 2 x dresses, 3 x t-shirts, 1 x trousers, underwear and a pair of pyjamas, plus hair straighteners and curlers, 3 small toiletry bags, a kindle, a charger, a handbag and a notebook.

I was very impressed with just how much I could fit in the bag, but there was one downside to its design.

The small handle, which didn’t fit over my bulky coat, dug into my hand as I carried the bag through the security queue and around the departures lounge.

But for an extra £3 holidaymakers can purchase a version of the bag with a shoulder strap for £18.99 on Amazon.

Meanwhile, other people on TikTok have revealed how they sneakily maximised their luggage space for free by stuffing pillowcases and putting bags under their coats.
