PSG set to rival Bayern Munich in Kane transfer race – as Man Utd WOULD go back in for him on a free next year

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are ready to rival Bayern Munich in the race to sign Harry Kane, according to reports.

The German side are pushing hard to bring in the Tottenham star, who has just one year left on his deal.

Bayern have supposedly seen a bid worth £70million turned down by Spurs and chiefs have flown to London to hold talks with Daniel Levy.

He is desperate to keep hold of the striker and is trying to convince him to commit to the club by offering him a huge £400,000-a-week contract.

But Bayern believe that Kane wants to join them and personal terms will not be an issue should a fee be agreed.

However, fresh reports claim that PSG are set to rival Thomas Tuchel’s side.

The Daily Mail report that their presence could drive the price up for Bayern.

However, rumours suggest they will only go up to a certain point in their bidding before returning in January should Kane run down his deal.

Manchester United are reportedly keen to snap up the England captain too but would only sign him should the 29-year-old be a free agent next summer.

The Red Devils have been priced out of a move now and are instead lining up Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.

PSG have seen Lionel Messi depart and there is uncertainty regarding the future of Kylian Mbappe.

The star has told the club he plans to run down his contract and walk away for free in a years time and not trigger the extension many thought he would.

PSG are determined not to lose him for nothing and could sell Mbappe this summer, potentially creating an opening for Kane.

The Spurs man is currently focusing on pre-season, having returned to training and jetted off to Australia for friendly matches.
