THE beaches with the warmest waters have been revealed – with some having highs of 18C.
While a cool dip in the ocean is ideal when the weather heats up, there is nothing worst than a freezing swim in the ocean.

New research from Millets has found that Clacton-on-Sea has the warmest waters along the UK coastline.
Not only did the water hit 18.2C, but it also has a 3/3 water quality score.
Along with a long stretch of sandy beach, Clacton is also home to a Victorian pier with an amusement arcade and pier both open all year round.
Clacton-on-Sea is also soaring in popularity, with Londoners flocking to the coastal Essex town thanks to its cheap properties.
Other beaches in the Millets study that had some of the warmest waters included Folkestone Beach, with 18C waters, along with Bognor Regis at 17.8C.
Beaches in Folkestone have been praised by tourists, with one saying it “felt like you were abroad”.
Margate, Southend-on-Sea and Hastings all had water temperatures above 17C.
The Millets study was part of wider research to find the best seaside resorts in the UK, which saw Tynemouth come in top for its clean water and cheap parking.
Millets stated in the study: ” England and Wales are home to a whole range of beautiful and diverse beaches to choose from.
“From sandy havens, to the rustic aesthetics of shingle beaches, the choice can become almost overwhelming.
“We looked at the average review ratings, the water quality ratings, the warmest ocean temperatures and also the average parking costs for up to 4 hours.
“Additionally, we reviewed the number of beaches for each region, which regions have the most pet-friendly beaches and the region with the most beach activities.”
According to a study conducted by Parkdean, Camber Sands gets the warmest the quickest in spring, hitting highs of 19C.
And Cromer Beach in Norfolk is the UK’s warmest autumn beach, with average temperatures of 17C throughout the season.
