Ryan Gosling is flexing his inner theatre kid – and muscles – in the newest sneak peek of the upcoming Barbie film.
In a newly released clip from Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Barbie flick, Ryan Gosling busts out a tune called I’m Just Ken whilst shirtless – in true Ken fashion.
“I just don’t know who I am without you,” Ken can be heard saying in the clip. “You’re Ken!” Barbie asserts. He replies, “But it’s ‘Barbie and Ken.’ There is no just Ken.”

The clip then cuts to a shirtless Gosling who is sitting in a dark room lamenting over always being “number two” to Barbie as well as his “blonde fragility”.
“I’m just Ken. Where I see love, she sees a friend. What will it take for her to see the man behind the tan and fight for me?” another lyric from the clip goes.
Gosling has previously flexed his vocal prowess in the critically acclaimed film, La La Land where he starred alongside Emma Stone.

The actor also started out his career as a child performer on The Mickey Mouse Club alongside the likes of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
Gosling has previously admitted that although he has fully embraced the iconic role now, at first he was not sure if he had the right ‘Ken-ergy’ to undertake the role.
“I only knew Ken from afar. I didn’t know Ken from within, and if I’m being really honest I doubted my Ken-ergy,” he said at CinemaCon 2023. “I didn’t see it, but Margot and Greta, they conjured this out of me somehow.”

“It was like I was living my life and then one day I was bleaching my hair, shaving my legs and wearing bespoke neon outfits and rollerblading down Venice Beach,” he added. “It came on like a light scarlet fever. Then I woke up one day and was like, ‘Why is there fake tanner in my sheets? What just happened?’.”
