Valencia, 37, was a fan favourite during a 10-year stay at United as he won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and a Europa League.

The former captain, who played 339 times for the Red Devils, only retired from football two years ago.

And he has clearly been hitting the gym ever since after showing off a new jacked look.

Valencia flexed his bulging muscles as he signed a Man United shirt, leading to fans singing his praises on social media.

One said: “Retirement looks good on you Captain!”

Another declared: “You look as if you could come and play in the first team.”

One added: “Valencia got jacked!”

Since retiring from playing, Valencia has stayed in football.

But instead of moving into coaching like most of his peers, he went a step further by founding his own club.

Last year saw Valencia create AV25 Club Deportivo in his native Ecuador.

They play in the second tier of Pichincha — a province in the country which has had its leagues endorsed by Ecuador’s FA.

Deportivo are enjoying their season so far and have gone unbeaten in 10 matches, scoring 17 goals and conceding just three.

After their latest victory, Valencia said: “Very happy that the team won, we will continue working with all the humility.

“The victory is for all of you who support the boys.”
