CHELSEA have found out how much they will have to splash for one of Brazil’s biggest rising stars.

The Blues are turning over a new leaf under new manager Mauricio Pochettino following a disastrous campaign last season that saw them finishing 12th.

And it seems like the West Londoners are going to focus on youth in the summer transfer window with Flamengo starlet Matheus Franca posing as a top target.

According to the Evening Standard, Pochettino’s side have found out they will have to splash £21million for Franca.

Franca was linked with Newcastle in January, while Crystal Palace are also admirers.

But Chelsea are holding fresh round of talks for the 19-year-old, having already been rebuffed in their efforts to sign him.

The Brazil Under-20 international has amassed a total of nine goals in 53 appearances for Flamengo since his senior debut two years ago.

The versatile playmaker is the second Brazilian starlet Chelsea are keeping tabs on amid interest in Santos ace Angelo Gabriel.

Angelo, who has been dubbed the “new Neymar”, is on the verge of putting pen to paper.

The winger looks ready to sign a six-year deal for a transfer fee of £13m.

The 18-year-old, though, could be shipped out on loan to Strasbourg to gain some first-team football experience.

Chelsea are looking to make more additions with Brighton star Moises Caicedo still posing as a top target.

The Premier League giants have also been linked with Celta Vigo’s Gabri Veiga and Southampton’s Romeo Lavia.
