Ivan Perisic ‘set to RIP UP Tottenham contract to make shock transfer after just 12 months’

The Croatian international only joined Spurs last summer and still has a year remaining on his contract.

However, he is now set to leave North London already after enduring a difficult season in England.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Perisic is close to returning to Croatia and his first club Hajduk Split.

He is set to terminate his deal with Spurs in order to complete the transfer.

Perisic began his career with Hajduk but did not make a single senior appearance before being sold to Sochaux aged 17.

He has since gone on to score 33 goals in 127 caps for Croatia and was part of their squads that finished second and third at the last two World Cups.

Spurs signed Perisic on a free transfer from Inter Milan in 2022, with the 34-year-old making 44 appearances for the club.

However, he scored just once and provided eight assists from the left flank as Spurs finished eighth in the Premier League and missed out on Europe.

His exit is unlikely to be the last from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.
