HSBC customers are complaining they’re struggling to pay for goods and services in shops – and are even unable to withdraw their own money from UK cashpoints.
On Monday morning at 1.50pm, the high street bank released a statement on Twitter saying: “We understand some customers are experiencing issues when paying for goods, services or withdrawing cash.
“We apologise and are investigating as a matter of urgency. We will share an update as soon as possible.”
It is unclear at present how many people have been affected by the problems or what might have caused them.
The Sun has contacted HSBC for comment.
