Major lager brand launches its own brand of crisps – here’s how to get them for free

LAGER-lovers may have finally found the perfect accompaniment for their beloved Stella Artois — special-edition crisps made by the brewer.

Each packet will be free with every two pints bought, boosting pubs and bars as well as a charity helping hospitality workers.

Belgian giants Stella Artois cooked up the smoked salt and black garlic snack after breaking down the taste of their 4.6 per cent pilsner.

They claim the Crisps Artois also reflect their tipple’s “heritage and tradition”.

Jean-David Thumelaire, of the Budweiser Brewing Group which produces Stella, said: “As the number one beer in the UK, we want to use the power of the Stella Artois brand to support pubs and bars in challenging times.

“We’ve worked tirelessly to create a packet of crisps that perfectly complements a chalice of Stella Artois and we’re confident they will be flying off the back bar.”

The packets have a QR code for customers to scan, giving them the option to donate to Hospitality Action.

Stella Artois will match all donations up to a maximum £60,000.

The charity offers help, advice and support to people working in the industry who suffer from physical or mental illness, from financial difficulty, or who are dealing with family problems and addiction.

Hospitality Action’s chief executive Mark Lewis said: “Unfortunately the hospitality sector and the people that work within it aren’t out of the woods yet.

“We’re excited to continue our partnership with Stella Artois and encourage pub-goers up and down the nation to support their local.”
