TikTok user @brightly.eco said that for this hack, you only need white distilled vinegar and a plastic cup.

You can find this product at Tesco – and it only costs 29p.

The cleaning whizz explained: “I don’t know why this works, but it does!

“If your car is having some kind of funky smells, put a cup of white distilled vinegar in there, and let it sit for a few hours while you are at work.

“And then just let it air out while you finish cleaning your car, and the bad smell is gone.”

Experts from Leith Toyota explained that the evaporation process would greatly limit even the strongest of odours.

They explained: “You can also try spraying and rubbing a stinky area with a mix of vinegar and water and a wet cloth.”
