Taylor Swift fans go to desperate lengths to secure tickets for Aussie tour: ‘Don’t talk to me’

Taylor Swift fans are in an absolute frenzy trying to buy tickets for the Australian Eras tour, taking place in February 2024.

Fans have been digitally queueing up for hours, desperate to secure their chance to see Swift live in action next year.

This follows the Amex exclusive pre-sale that took place on Monday for Swift’s five concerts in Australia – three in Sydney, two in Melbourne – and now more than one million Frontier Touring members are vying for a ticket total that’s less than half of the demand.

Ticketek previously confirmed to 9Honey Celebrity this morning that by 9:30am more than 800,000 people were on their website, waiting to be let into the sale that kicked off at 10am.

Swifties have been going to great lengths to secure tickets: using multiple devices and logging on hours earlier, locking themselves in conference rooms, and blocking out work meeting calendars to make sure nothing distracts them from achieving their goal.

One Twitter user even shared a photo of their colleague with a note taped to the back of their chair: “I am trying to get Taylor Swift tickets pls don’t talk to me I am too stressed.”

Some people are also reportedly trying to use service sites like Airtasker to pay others to help them secure tickets.

Now, distressed fans are losing hope as they try to patiently wait for their chance to make it through the Ticketek queue, with varying levels of success.
