Are you ready for it?
Taylor Swift fans are once again in the fight of their lives today, with a limited amount of tickets going on sale for her five Australian shows.
Following the American Express exclusive pre-sale on Monday for Swift’s three Sydney and two Melbourne shows – happening in February 2024 – more than one million Frontier Touring members are today vying for a ticket total that’s less than half of the demand.
By 9.30am – 30 minutes before the Sydney Frontier Touring members pre-sale was set to begin – Ticketek confirmed to 9news.com.au that more than 800,000 people were on their website, waiting to be let into the sale.

Prior to Monday, it was estimated roughly 450,000 tickets in total were up for grabs. Following the American Express pre-sale, it’s unclear of the amount of tickets remain available – and after today’s pre-sale, which is exclusive to Frontier Touring members, on Friday the general public will be fighting for whatever is left over.
It’s been a frantic week for Swift’s legion of fans Down Under, who are competing for a spot in five shows meant to service the demand of not only the whole of Australia, but New Zealand as well.
On Monday, the American Express portal to the exclusive pre-sale crashed, sending the relatively smaller group of fans (compared to Frontier Touring pre-sale group and general public sale) trying to secure VIP packages – some of whom were pulling from their housing deposit funds – into a panic.
Ultimately, however, the Ticketek website held strong, and although the pre-sale was set to go for 48 hours, ticket allocation was exhausted for both Sydney and Melbourne pre-sales within eight hours.
Ticketek expecting 10 times amount of traffic for Frontier Touring sale
Although the American Express website crashed during their exclusive pre-sale, which directed fans to the Ticketek website to purchase VIP packages, the Ticketek website did stay up.
Today at 10am AEST for the Sydney shows and at 2pm AEST for the Melbourne shows, however, Ticketek is expecting 10 times the amount of traffic than they saw on June 26 – and this is just the Frontier Touring pre-sale, not the general public sale on June 30.
Ticketek encourages fans to remember that queuing is not their enemy, and emphasises not to leave the Lounge page or refresh their browser while they’re waiting.

“Queuing is a necessary part of the purchasing process. A way of ensuring fair access to tickets for all fans,” a Ticketek spokesperson told 9Honey Celebrity in a statement.
“Fans must remember to not leave the Lounge page or refresh their browser. The page will refresh itself frequently to let more fans through to purchase,” the statement continued.
“Once fans are in the Lounge, they should sit tight and wait to be let through to the event page. And then once they’re through they need to remember to keep an eye on the timer and complete their purchase within the time frame.”

Anti-scalping measures in place for Taylor Swift’s Australia shows

We’ve seen what happened in the United States, and we didn’t like the ending (a lawsuit on behalf of Swift’s fans).
As a result, strict anti-scalping measures are reportedly in place for Aussie fans, with Victoria declaring The Eras Tour a “major event”, triggering the activation of a number of measures under the state’s anti-scalping laws.
New South Wales Premier Chris Minns has also announced “Swift action to crack down on ticket scalpers”, however, no further details were revealed in his cheeky tweet.
