A TOURIST has warned other holidaymakers about clothing choices that could see them fined hundreds of pounds while on holiday this summer.
Different countries have their own unique laws that can get travellers in trouble if they aren’t careful.

Italy is no exception, with some strict laws in place around what can and can’t be worn in public.
Tiktoker Marti (@theycallme.marti) explained how tourists can get in trouble visiting the popular destination this summer, as well as how to avoid getting a fine.
In a video she said: “This is a PSA for all the girls going to Italy for a Euro summer.
“You are likely to get a fine if you wear something like this around the beach town.
“I don’t know what it is about Italians, but they do not want tourists going around in their bikinis around the little towns near beaches.
“So chances are that if you are wearing something like that and you’re going around like Puglia or Sicily, for example, the police can easily find in you €500 (£427).
“If you’re planning on going to the beach, just bring an extra T shirt with you so you can cover up and the old Italian ladies and men will be happy.
“And if you’re visiting a church or anything like religiously historical in Italy as well and it’s really hot and you want to wear a tank top and shorts, chances are some places could tell you to cover up before you go in.”
She clarified that for men, not wearing a t-shirt could also lead to a fine, but that it only applied to people “walking around outside of the beach area”.
The video has been viewed almost 900,000 times, with lots of people saying they were pleased to hear about the rules.
One wrote: “It’s completely understandable, they are just asking you to be respectful, especially in churches.”
Another said: “Honestly I agree with this, some people don’t know how to be respectful.”
A third added: “Sad they need to put fines on something that should be normal. Just be decent, you’re not at the beach.”
Several places in Italy have the fines in place, including Sorrento where the mayor described wearing swimwear in public, as well as being topless, as being part of ‘widespread indecorous behaviour’.
Massimo Coppola believes that bare flesh on show in his town upsets the locals and has now introduced a hefty fine for anyone showing off their body this summer.
Last year, he said: “That behaviour is seen by the majority of people as contrary to decorum and to the decency that characterises civilised cohabitation.
“The continuation of this situation, as well as causing discomfort and unease in the resident population and among visitors, could lead to a negative judgement on the quality of life in our town, with consequences for its image and for tourism.”
Meanwhile, some places in Spain have introduced similar swimwear rules.
And a number of beaches in Italy are charging tourists to sunbathe.
