MANCHESTER UNITED remain in the driving seat to sign Monaco star Axel Disasi, according to reports.

The Red Devils are eager to strengthen their back line for boss Erik ten Hag this summer.
Disasi, 25, is high up on their list after impressing at Monaco.
According to RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins, Ten Hag is set to speak to the centre-back in the coming days.
He adds that Monaco will discuss a deal worth around £34million.
Should United dawdle, they could be beaten to Disasi’s signature by a Prem rival.
Hawkins adds that Arsenal and Chelsea admire Disasi and are monitoring his situation.
The Gunners are prioritising a move for Ajax ace Jurrien Timber, however.
Timber, who nearly joined Man United last summer, is said to have agreed to sign for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Arsenal still need to agree a fee with Ajax, however, having had a £30m bid turned down.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have a vacancy at the back after allowing centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly to move to Saudi Arabia.
Disasi is claimed to be keen on a move to the Premier League, having played his entire career thus far in France.
The Frenchman has earned four caps for his country – with three coming at the World Cup in Qatar.
He has made 129 appearances for Monaco, and played in all 38 Ligue 1 matches during the 2022-23 campaign.
