Women rush to buy £15 ‘must have’ for menopause at The Range – it’ll help you stay cool in hot weather

WOMEN are rushing to buy a £12 “must-have” item for the menopause from The Range.

Shoppers are raving about the wearable Icycool neck fan, which they say helps them to cool down in hot weather.

The gadget costs £11.99 from The Range, or you can get two for £20 – a saving of £3.98 on buying two fans individually.

It is portable and chargeable with a USB connection.

If you want to pick one up, you can head down to your nearest store or order it online.

But remember that ordering online will come with an extra charge of £3.95 for home or store delivery.

Women going through the menopause have taken to social media to praise the item for helping them deal with the hot weather.

One Twitter user wrote: “I’m not saying perimenopause is killing me slowly, but I have just had to purchase a USB fan that will travel in my laptop bag with me.

She followed this up by writing: “Okay who told me to get this neck fan? Look how happy I am with it!! It almost blows your ears off. I am going to sleep in it.”

Others were quick to comment, with one person writing: “So these are good? Thought they were just a gimmick.”

While another added: “Where did you get it? I need one!”

The fan is described as “the perfect summer companion” to help you stay cool.

It has three speeds and can last for eight hours on a single charge.

It always pays to compare prices so you know you’re getting the best deal.

And remember, don’t buy it just for the sake of it. Make sure you actually need it first, or you’re not saving any money.

The Sun checked online and we could see a few similar fans on sale for less than those at The Range.

Amazon is selling a Adifare portable neck fan for just £7.98 and a CENXINY fan for £10.99.

Of course, you will need to factor in the cost of delivery.

If you don’t mind forking out a bit more, B&Q and Debenhams are selling a Valiant neck fan for £19.99.

More ways to stay cool in hot weather

Spritz yourself with some cooling spray can help you feel fresher.

These are available ready-made to buy for as little as £1.49.

You could also make a fan, with a sheet of paper or card and to fold it over itself at a thickness of about one inch, and voila.

Filling an old water bottle and putting it in the freezer overnight means you’ll never be without a thirst-quenching drink.

As the ice melts, you can drink your cooling water to refresh – and just holding the bottle means you’ve got a portable ice pack to hand too.

If you’ve resorted to switching on the fan at night, then there’s one trick you can use to maximise its effect.

Place a towel at the bottom of your bed and slip on a pair of socks that you’ve soaked in cold water.

Then point the fan at your feet – it will keep your whole body cool, and the towel means your mattress won’t get soaked.
