Eminem’s daughter reveals her famous dad walked her down the aisle

Despite speculation of his absence, Eminem‘s daughter has confirmed her father did in fact attend her wedding and even played a huge role in the nuptials.

When Alaina Marie Scott shared photos of her wedding on Instagram, fans scoured the images for any signs of the Lose Yourself rapper – real name Marshall Mathers – but came up empty. Scott has now cleared the air.

“I had an 80-ft long black and white checkered aisle and my dad walked me down the aisle,” Scott told PEOPLE.

“He wasn’t going to miss that.”

Scott, the rapper’s eldest daughter, tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Matt Moeller in in front of 125 guests in a “Great Gatsby glam”-themed ceremony on June 9.

“The grounds were the foundation of the wedding and what I built my vision around,” Scott said of the venue, the Packard Proving Ground Historic museum in Shelby Township, Michigan, where she and Moeller exchanged vows.

Scott said reading her handwritten vows and uttering “I do” felt like “something out of a movie”.

“I planned the entire thing, down to every last detail. Even customised napkins of our dogs with the phrase ‘Our parents are married!'” she said.

“It’s just very rewarding to see all your hard work come to life.”

The newlywed shared that the couple wanted to keep the guest list small to honour the sacred nature of the affair.

“Getting married is a sacred thing and we wanted to be surrounded by people who share in our daily lives,” explained Scott.

“We did something super untraditional and didn’t allow many plus ones. This was important to us.”

Aside from Eminem escorting her to the altar, Scott had another family member standing beside her on her special day – sister Hailie Jade.

“I had Hailie as a maid of honor, and my two other best friends as matron of honors,” Scott explained to the outlet.

“It was something I’ll never forget, having my sister there on such a special day, especially now that she’s engaged.”

Scott and her now-husband became engaged in December 2021 after more than seven years of dating.
