Adriano, 41, was reportedly set to fly out to Istanbul on the morning of the match.

But according to Portuguese outlet A Bola, he missed his flight following a night of partying.

They claim that the Brazilian was spotted at three different parties in Rio de Janeiro on Friday night.

Their report adds that he “disappeared without a trace” at dawn before failing to board his flight to Turkey.

Adriano enjoyed two spells at Inter as a player between 2001 and 2009.

The prolific striker bagged 74 goals for the Italian giants, winning a host of trophies in the process.

He helped his side to two Serie A titles and a pair of domestic cups – but left a year before their Champions League triumph in 2010.

Adriano has lived a colourful life off the pitch since hanging up his boots.
