MOST workplaces have some form of a dress code, whether it’s rules about skirt lengths or casual Fridays.
A retail employee has set out to actively go against her company’s dress guidelines while working her two weeks notice.
TikTok user Paige showed her followers the outfit she wore to work in an effort to get dress codedTikTok
TikTok user Paige, who runs the account @chickienuggies98, shared the latest outfit she wore to her job at TJ Maxx in an effort to break the dress code.
She explained: “Just because I’m petty and I really don’t care anymore, I’m going to go against my job’s dress code every day this week until my last day, which is on Friday.”
Paige revealed that she was motivated to annoy her employers after she was written up for wearing a Nirvana tee.
The TikToker shared some examples from her workplace’s dress code, which included skirts at finger tip length, exposed midriff, and graphic tops.
“So I am going to be wearing a mini skirt with a graphic crop top. I would say this outfit is inspired by a modern day e-girl Freaky Friday kind of look,” she told viewers.
The TikToker detailed: “Mini skirt is indeed not finer tip length, also a crop top with a little graphic skateboard guy on it which is cute.”
Paige completed the grunge-chic look with a pair of fishnet stockings.
“I’m not here to be liked anymore, I’m here to be hated. I want people to be revolted by me,” she informed her followers.
However, an update later in the video revealed that her managers had no problem with the look.
“I’m dressed literally like the sl*ttiest person ever at work, nobody says anything but then I wear a graphic T-shirt and it’s the end of the world? I wasn’t even dress coded for wearing this,” she shared.

The TikToker joked that she might retaliate by simply wearing underwear to work the following day.
Paige’s followers took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the situation.
“I work at TJXC and one of my coordinators saw my outfit and told me to go check with my MALE manager if it is ok and I was like ‘Oh no I will not,’” shared one viewer.
Another user said: “I f*cking love the pettiness here.”
“I work for TJX as well but in Canada and I wear a graphic t shirt almost every day to work and have never been dress coded,” wrote a third person.
