‘Can’t escape this’: Kourtney Kardashian and David Campbell’s viral ‘blanking’ moment aired on her reality show

For seven years, Today Extra‘s David Campbell has not been able to escape videos, stories and general chatter about the moment Kourtney Kardashian ‘snubbed’ him live on national television.

So the fact it once again has become a topic of discussion on social media did not come as a surprise for the 49-year-old singer and television host.

What did come as a surprise to Campbell, however, was who started the discussion this time… it was Kardashian herself.

“Even Kourtney herself can’t escape this,” Campbell said this morning on Today Extra before showing the fateful moment where it’s brought up during a recent episode of her reality show The Kardashians.

In Season 3 episode, Kardashian, 44, can be seen getting her hair done, when someone brings up her 2016 virtual Australian media tour, which they brand “iconic”.

Kardashian then opens up about her anxiety when it comes to doing press in the episode.

On air this morning, Campbell once again opened up about what really happened – noting how a PR staffer had come into the room Kardashian was in while Campbell asked her about her sister Kim Kardashian’s at the time recent Paris robbery, which threw her off-guard.

Campbell said in the ad break, after the “famous blanking”, Kardashian “absolutely bollocked” the PR staffer for interrupting as she wanted to answer the question – and she went on to do so.

As Campbell recalled to 9Honey in 2022, the viral moment is one Kardashian has taken in good humour over the years.

Her sisters, after all, included it in a video package aired at her 40th birthday party.

“We’re part of the Kardashian clan,” Campbell said when interviewed for the exclusive series Best Selfie.

Kardashian herself didn’t publicly address the blunder until 2022, when she commented under a meme of the moment.

She summed it up with a simple: “Iconic”.
