Watch moment Celtic fan appears to snort ‘powder’ while perched on top of traffic lights

THIS is the moment a Celtic fan appeared to snort some form of powder – while perched on a set of TRAFFIC LIGHTS.

Once their team lifted their Premiership trophy on Saturday afternoon, thousands of Hoops fans descended on Glasgow city centre to celebrate.

The majority of supporters headed to the Merchant City and Glasgow Cross parts of the city and they duly revelled in the sunshine soon after Ange Postecoglou’s men had demolished Aberdeen 5-0.

In amongst the jubilation though were some shocking scenes, including one punter setting off a firework in the middle of one large crowd and another two fans went crashing through a bus stop roof as they danced on top of it.

The knees-up left a huge clean-up job needing done afterwards as the city’s streets were strewn with litter and three people were seriously injured, while several others were arrested.

The mess was so bad one MP even suggested Celtic fans should be made to PAY for it.

Rangers supporters left George Square in a similar state two years ago when they celebrated winning the title.

Further footage has emerged of a Celtic fan who had climbed up onto a set of traffic lights, before pulling out what looks to be a credit card.

He then appears to snort some type of powder.

The booze-fuelled celebrations turned ugly at times, as trouble flared in the city with violence and anti-social behaviour.

Three people were seriously assaulted in three separate alleged attacks during the gathering.

Following the alleged assaults a 31-year-old man remains in a serious condition at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Two other men, aged 19 and 33, were treated at hospital and have since been discharged.

Cops also confirmed 10 arrests were made and a further eight were fined.

Police slammed the “unacceptable” behaviour as they detailed the extent of the injuries and arrests on the day.

Superintendent Gerry Corrigan, of Greater Glasgow Division, said: “(Saturday) afternoon thousands of Celtic supporters gathered in the area of Glasgow Cross for several hours to celebrate their team’s achievement.

“Working with partners, a proportionate policing plan was in place which facilitated the gathering, prioritised public safety and sought to minimise disruption to businesses and communities.

“Throughout the day, there was an unacceptable level of anti-social behaviour and incidents of disorder.

“Police officers took swift and robust action to prevent these escalating.

“Three people were seriously assaulted in three separate incidents during the event.

“A 31-year-old man remains in a serious condition within Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after being attacked. Two other men, aged 33 and 19, were treated at hospital after being assaulted and have since been discharged.

“There were 10 arrests for a number of other offences including assault, acts of public disorder and police assault following the event. No police officers were injured. A further eight people were issued with fixed penalty notices.
