I tried the new Avatar make-up range and it was a disaster – I won’t make that £11.50 mistake again

IT’S set to be one of the biggest films of the year.

And ahead of Avatar: The Way of Water’s release later this month, one fan decided to try out NYX’s make-up range, created in conjunction with the film.

Even scrubbing at her hand with a face wipe wasn’t enough to get the colour offTikTok/@britneykale

One of the products is a face and body paint, which will allow people to “live out their Avatar fantasies”.

Britney hit her local beauty store to give the range a try, and couldn’t resist testing out the Na’Vi SFX paint.

But after smearing it on her hand to see what the colour was like, Britney struggled massively to get it off.

“I’ve made a horrible mistake,” she sighed in a video posted to TikTok.

“Yeah, okay, so this has stained my hand.

“I just got some make-up wipes, we’re gonna hope it comes off.”

And despite scrubbing her hand with the make-up wipe, the colour was still “only kind of coming off”.

“I’m not sure how I feel about a face paint that’s going to turn you blue,” she said.

“Like, it’s bad enough that the palette is £33 ($40) but that’s not good.”

“I have questions,” Britney added in the video caption.

“Thank you now I know to not put this on my face oh boy,” one person commented on the video.

As another added: “Oh MAN. i feel bad for people who don’t know this and will buy it.”

“Alexa play Blue by Eiffel 65,” a third wrote.

To which Britney replied: “Yessss! I almost captioned this as ‘I’m blue, da-ba-di’.”
