A CLASSIC Mk1 Ford Capri is up for auction – and it won’t even break the bank.
The gorgeous 1973 car was found in a London storage locker with half of its parts missing but has been lovingly restored to working order by the current owner.

It was discovered in 2021 after nearly 20 years hidden away and was missing its engine, gearbox, front suspension and rear axle.
The previous owner had intended to convert it from a 1.6 litre to a 5 litre engine but had only got part way through the process.
However, the current owner looked past those flaws and saw that the vehicle was in great condition otherwise and only had 22,000 miles on the clock.
He was able to source an original 1.6 litre engine and automatic gearbox and the restoration project was completed a short time later.
The factory-finish blue and black paintwork was so flawless that only valeting was required.
A close cousin of the more famous Mustang, the Mk1 Capri and displays the same long sweeping bonnet and sleek curves.
When new, the engine put out 78 horsepower which, while modest by today’s standards, could still result in a top speed of 100mph.
It has had five previous owners (including the current one) and all the paperwork is available, though it is new as the original registration documents were lost.
However, perhaps the best part is the price.
Despite its heritage and original fittings, the guide price range from Bonhams auctioneers is only £9,000 to £15,000.
The auction date can be obtained by contacting the company online or by phone, as it is simply advertised as “coming soon”.
The car must be picked up from their Oxfordshire HQ withing 7 days of sale.
It comes after a gangster’s rare Rolls Royce Ghost, worth £100,000 came up for sale.
Meanwhile, a classic Ford RS2000 is expected to face a huge price tag at auction.
