Australian musician G Flip and reality star Chrishell Stause have somewhat clarified that they are really married – but not necessarily legally.
It comes amid growing speculation surrounding their May 10 Las Vegas wedding, with a recent report claiming the couple aren’t legally married, prompting rumours Stause, 41, and the 29-year-old GET ME OUTTA HERE singer – whose real name is Georgia Claire Flipo – tied the knot for a gimmick.
“Well, honestly, I think that everyone is [acting] like that’s the thing. They’re like, ‘Gotcha,'” Stause said during a recent appearance on SiriusXM Hits 1 LA with Tony Fly and Symon.

“But to be honest with you, we knew if we did it, we would also hear people say, ‘Oh, you know, G wants a green card’, where it’s like G already has a passport, a visa,” Stause continued.
Stause, who rose to global notoriety with her work on the Netflix reality series Selling Sunset, added: ”It doesn’t matter what we do for the rest of our lives, we’re gonna hear criticism, so we decided we are always just gonna do exactly what we wanna do and I’m not out here to try and prove people how serious it is or how meaningful it was.”
“If you don’t believe it, I don’t care and that’s the best part. I don’t need your approval,” Stause concluded.

It was on May 10 that the couple announced they’d tied the knot in an intimate Las Vegas ceremony after one year of dating, revealing the news in a sweet video montage shared to Instagram.
”Love doesn’t always go as planned … Sometimes it’s immeasurably better,” Stause wrote alongside a video montage on Instagram, which was set to Flipo’s hit Be Your Man.
She called Flipo one of “the kindest, funniest & most talented hard working people out there” in her post.
Flipo, meanwhile, commented: ”My darling, I adore and love you with all my heart. These are the sweetest words and this is cutest little edit 🥹🥹🥹 You make me so happy ❤️ thank you x.”

In a report published by Page Six 11 days after the announcement, it was alleged there was no record of Stause or Flipo obtaining a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada, which is the area the wedding took place in.
Stause and Flipo, who hails from Melbourne, however, reside full-time in California – but it’s unclear if the couple obtained a marriage license there, or at another location, either.
Sources at the time told TMZ it appeared to simply be a matter of timing.
While the couple is not yet legally married, insiders claimed they ”plan to have an official wedding ceremony” at a later date.

The couple met at a Halloween party in 2021, and shortly after, Flipo asked Stause to star in their GET ME OUTTA HERE music video – the rest, as they say, is history.
Speaking with 9Honey Celebrity last year, Flipo, who is a star in their own right, revealed they’re not always bothered when their wife’s superstar status is at the centre of the spotlight when it comes to their own career.
“It bothers me when I know that [people are] trying to get a headline, when they’re poking you for something that’s not even something that you’d [say],” Flipo said of the questions they get asked about their partner.
“I don’t want to feel like I’m being grilled on stuff. If they’re silly questions, I’ll just try to work my way around it.”
